The recovery period for a patient after undergoing a hair transplant in Punjab is one of the most challenging periods. Since it is one of those periods which is crucial for the results of the hair transplantation procedures. 50% of the success of the procedure is dependent on the outcomes of this procedure. Also if you want that the money which you have spent on paying the hair transplant cost does not go in vain, then you need to follow some of the precautions.

Let me tell you straight!

For a very time like for a week or a fortnight, you will experience all of the following which is quite natural to happen since it is an invasive kind of process:

  • Itching
  • Redness
  • Scarring
  • Scabbing

We’ll cover everything about these in our upcoming blogs. Today we have chosen to talk about redness. Are you ready, then?

Why do the people who have undergone hair transplantation procedures experience redness after the procedure?

It is because of the invasive nature of the procedure which includes both the extraction and the transplantation phase. The extraction phase of hair transplantation includes taking out the hair follicles by making small holes in the scalp. And those follicles are then transplanted to the scalp. Both these stages are responsible for the scalp to emerge red.

Is the visibility of redness the same among all the people?

The people who are having the light skin tone, they are the one for whom the redness gets shown the most. But when we are considering this in the case of dark-toned people, then the visibility of the redness on their scalp gets significantly reduced.

Can I Do Something About It?

Do Not Go Out

It is advised that you should not go out for 2 to 3 days after the procedure. And when you have resumed your work, then make sure you are not letting the hair follicles get directly exposed to the harmful UV rays of the sun.

No Hair Washing For Two Days After The Surgery?

Make sure you are not washing your hair for at least two days after you have undergone the procedure. You need to make sure that you apply either of the following on your forehead and around your eyes:

  • Cold Gel
  • Ice Pack

The Recipient Area Should Not Contact With Anything

For the first 7 days after the procedure, it is to be made sure that the receiving area is not coming in contact with anything. To ascertain that, you can use a hat that should not be worn out.

Use The Spray Foams

Once you have undergone the surgical procedure, the doctors will provide you with foam spray. Rinse your head after 40 to 45 minutes of spraying the foam. To make sure your hair follicles are not getting deteriorated in quality, you should not be making use of the shower pressure rinsing.
