Having ascertained your hair transplant eligibility, you and your surgeon will then discuss the suitable hair transplant technique. There are mainly two two hair transplant approaches;
- Follicular Unit Extraction &
- Follicular Unit Transplantation
In this article, we shall tackle the nature of the FUT technique.
Describing the FUT technique
It is also termed as the strip method simply because the donor hair follicles are extracted in the form of small follicular units, each unit containing two or four hairs. Any FUT hair transplant in Delhi is performed using specialized blades utilized to cut the strip from the side or back of the scalp.
The Real Procedure for Natural Results
The FUT hair transplant is generally a one-day procedure lasting for 7 hours, but the time varies depending on the level of baldness
- Scalp Demarcation
The surgeon will demarcate the scalp with removable ink to correctly identify the front, bald, and the donor region
- Anesthesia & Extraction
The surgeon will administer either local anesthesia in order to render the procedure pain-free. He will then use a specialized blade to cut a strip of hair follicles with minor tissue while ensuring less or no trauma
- Dissection & Slit Creation
The strip is further taken to the laboratory where it is microscopically dissected and the obtained hair follicles are counted. The surgeon will then utilize micropunches of a given diameter to create tiny incisions in the recipient region.
- Implantation
The hair follicles will then be aesthetically implanted into the tiny incisions following a suitable depth, direction, and density for natural results.
